France's flag (sometimes called the 'Tricolor') was first used in 1789, after the French Revolution. It was officially adopted as the French national flag on February 15, 1794.

The flag consists of three equal vertical bands (a tricolor) of blue (on the hoist side), white, and red. The width is two-thirds of the height.

Last Friday it was room 5's assembly. It was awesome because we had some cool plans.

When we did the certificates, who ever got one they trudged slowly with a fake smile. Once they got it and went to line up as they hid their  faces.

After that our fun plan came up. The fun plan was to do our production thing with the teachers. Room 5's names were put in a box to do the sticks with the teacher's.

It was really fun doing what we did today i wish it could happen again. 

Tagul

Today we went on a site called tagul. We had to create a picture and put all the words that describe us into it.  The class chose different symbols,pictures and colours. I chose the superman one I hope you like it. 

On Friday in P.E. we learnt how to throw the shot put. So what  done is held it by my neck and through it as far as i could!!!!!!!

I nearly made it go the farest in the class!!!!!!!!! But mason just beat me.

It was so fun today i wish i could do it all the time.

November-Monday-2015

On monday we did pe.It was a hot and sunny day.Room 5 did long jump in the sand pit by room 16.

to see what discus is. The gear you need is a discus. If you are doing the discus play the game safely and always remember when they throw the disc do not run after the disc you've already thrown.

you put four of your fingers around the disc. Spread  your fingers around the discus. Then you point your other hand in the direction you want it to go in. When you throw the discus hold it by the side of your pants pocket. throw it flat sideways when you have nearly finished throwing the discus twist your hand backwards and let go.

It would be AWESOME if Miss Nicola let us do it again.

Reading eggs

We learnt a new site its called reading eggs you read story's and you do quizzes for the story. If you get enough eggs you can play in arcade and you also move up levels for harder reading. You can read from the library when you search up any book and read it Reading eggs is Sooooo FUNNN!!!!!!!!! 

Symposium

On Tuesday the sun was shining at school and we had symposium day. Our symposium was mine craft. We moved the tables .

We had to pick out two Ipad guards it was troy & carol. So know one will snatch a Ipad. Than we had to pick five people to show the classes mine craft they were Piringi,Andrew,Jayden,Kauri-rei and Oceayarn. Quickly the rest of room 5 lined up and went to other classes to see what they're symposium was everybody got a turn at showing classes our symposium. Other classes came to look at our preparation.

symposium was fun because we were able to see other classes experiments. Then after symposium we played on reading eggs because it looked interesting.

Fire drill

Today we all had a fire drill.Quickly we ran to the back field frightened. We all quietly lined up at the back field. After the fire drill had finished we all ran happily to class.

Today at school there was two aggressive bee hives. We ran  inside quickly.We had to run inside or we might get stung. 

compensation

Today our class learnt about compensation to do better at our fractions.And tidy numbers to make it to the nearest 10's so next time we do fractions we know the fast and easy way.

When the rocks move more towards the centre of the earth it gets hotter and melts the rock from the volcano and it goes through the volcano and gets really deep then it turns back into lava                                     The rock cycle

When it rains the water goes down the hill and goes back to the ocean then the sun shines it hits the water and makes it evaporate which means steam rises into the cloud.
